This is a blog about my life. I wanted a way to include people in my life that could fit any schedule.

Extra, extra, Read all about it!

Local boy misses girlfriend. Wishes he could see her everyday.

You know you're in Saskatchewan when...

... you go to a country bar on a thursday night and have to stand in line for an hour. So a girl in my class was celebrating her birthday and was going out last week and I thought it would be fun to go out. I haven’t done that much socializing since I got here and felt this was a good opportunity. I had never been to the Longbranch either and felt it was time to expand my knowledge of Saskatoon drinking establishments. Well I wasn’t missing out on too much prior to last week. The place wasn’t even that packed and we had to wait an hour, just so that they could give the appearance that the place was happenin’. I usually make it a rule that I don’t wait in line for any bar for more than 10 minutes, and that night would have been the same only that I didn’t drive. So it was either wait in line or take a taxi home. Not going to happen.

The people I was with were very nice and quite interesting so that made the wait tolerable. Plus there were some very interesting characters in the line as well. I swear every second vehicle that pulled into that place was a pickup truck. Why so many trucks in a city? It just doesn’t make sense. I even saw a pair of truck nuts. My first sighting of the dangling truck gonads! I’m not sure how kilometers spots so many. It must be a Kingston thing. The guy behind me was wearing his “fancy” bar clothes aka starched Dodge Wrangler shirt, tight jeans and Mac Tools hat. Ladies love a cowboy! The three girls I was with were loving every moment of that night and wouldn’t even consider going to a different bar that didn’t have ridiculous lineups and jerkoffs in their trucks driving by splashing everyone as they spin the tires on their F-350’s. The two guys were as excited to be there as I was. One had just flown in from England the day before and when we said we were going to a country bar he said, “What’s country music”. The other guy said he felt more at home at a rave or a regular pub. I suggested ditching the girls and going for a beer. Of course I wasn’t there to pick up so that didn’t go over well.

So long story short I got my fill of two stepping and cowboy hats for another decade.

YEEHAH!!

Physiotherapy. It'll move you.

Well I'm back in touch with the world after a long break. It seems that a lot can happen when you don't post for a year. First of all I would like to let everyone know that I am now living in Saskatoon (as of August 17th) and am studying physical therapy at the U of S. I was finally accepted after my 3rd time applying (third time really is the charm!) and started classes on the 18th of August. The program runs almost straight through for 26 months which puts me finishing somewhere around the end of September 2010.
Why study physio one might ask? Well I couldn't stand that Marlito was the only one with a Masters degree so I had to go out and get one for myself. Thats right, in a little less than 2 years I will be a MASTER of PHYSICAL THERAPY!!!!!!!!!! (or something like that)

So I am hoping that I will be able to find a little time to blog, or force myself to do it. I even bought a little note book to write down ideas to add to my blog. I have a few pretty good ones lined up to add in the next few days.

Anyways, it is good to be back and I should have some more to say soon.
