last bit of wisdom from Pathology

so today marked the end of my Pathology classes. I will miss the fun I had in that class. I have a few last comments to remind me of the good times, the special times we shared.


After talking about the process of aging - "Did anyone ask if we wanted to be born? No, they were just having fun and here you are."

Trying to elicite the idea that young people are always having sex - "Students are like bunny rabbits, they don't do anything but......"

On saying that postmenopausal women have the same risk of developing heart disease as men - "The moment we dry up, the risk is the same."

On why women have such a decreased rate of various diseases until after menopause - "God in his infinite wisdom knew that women had to hold the house together. But once that is over we can be kicked out and replaced."

An interesting conversation in class -
PROF: "How do you know an onion is a vegetable?"
ME: "Because it is a root and that makes it a vegetable not a fruit."
OTHER STUDENT: "Actually it is a modified leaf, not a root. Onions are modified leaves and are vegetables because it is the vegetative part of the plant. Fruits are the reproductive part of the plant."
CLASS: "OHHHHHH! BURN!"

a new dog

so Marlito and I are thinking of getting a dog. we have debated about what sort of dog to get and we have narrowed it down to a few choices. would you be so kind as to choose from among the finalists and help us bring a bundle of joy into our lives.

This has to be one of the best parodies I've seen in a while (PG-13 rating)

I hadn't seen this infomercial until after I saw the parody. Both are equally hilarious for different reasons.

a girl in my class showed this video to me and it made me laugh uncontrollably. now I want to share it with you all. i hope this inspires you to laugh as well

sheep dogs really are amazing

Check out this super cool video of some LED art created using sheep herded into different patterns. The giant walking sheep at the beginning is the most incredible, though I highly enjoyed the game of pong.

Blood: The Last Vampire

About 3 years ago I came across this anime movie and I just thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. Now I found out they are making a live action version of it and it also looks pretty good. Lots of cool stunts, camera work and plenty of vampire slicing to go around. Check it out and let me know what you think.

have you ever wondered about your TMJ?

well I'm sure you have, at least a few times. The temporomandibular joint is rather fascinating so I'm not surprised at all. It really is the most complicated joint in the body. Which other synovial joint in the body is talked about more?

Ha ha ha, oh get it? ... "talked about"!! Cause you need it to talk. I slay me sometimes.

Ok, but seriously I was introduced to this extremely cool video showing the normal and pathological movements of the TMJ and feel it is necessary for others to check it out.

I hope you are better educated now and please never take your TMJ for granted. It might be cool to put pool balls in your mouth at parties, but you literally won't be laughing when you have to drink your meals through a straw.
Think about it.

the apology that was 20 years over due

Well it seems that Mr. R. Van Winkle has decided to right some of the wrongs of his past. Please take the time to watch this video so that you too may get some closure. I know it has helped me and hopefully it might help my entire generation.

Who Watches the Watchmen? Well I do, that's who!

Just got back from The Watchmen and I have to say it was the best movie I have seen since The Dark Knight. I loved it (even with Dr. Manhattan being all distracting with his blue dangling bits) and have to say that unless you like gritty, dark movies and/or good comic books you shouldn't waste your time.
